As Union Minister for Food Processing Industries, I worked tirelessly to transform India's agricultural and food sector. The Mega Food Parks scheme was not merely a policy initiative—it was a vision to bridge the gap between our farmers and global markets, to reduce waste, and to create dignified employment. By establishing the Food Safety and Standards Authority, we ensured that every Indian family could trust the food on their table.

My tenure as Minister for Tourism demonstrated my belief that economic growth and cultural preservation must go hand in hand. Tourism is not just about numbers and revenue—it is about enabling people to understand our rich heritage, to appreciate our diversity, and to create sustainable livelihoods in our communities.
